Framed Roy Purcell Artwork "An Early Las Vegas Christmas"
I acquired this artwork from a friend, Gary Crowe. I have quite a few original Purcell artwork, his original watercolors and one original painting but I have to let go of this piece. The composition is of a few old buildings depicting the early settlement days of Las Vegas, a Christmas tree and the community gathered around viewing the tree. The frame and matting are ordinary and don't do justice to the artwork. I would have it reframed if I were to keep the artwork.
Per the Certificate of Authenticity: The "Standard Wholesale" building in this etching was the original Ed W. Clark Forwarding Company of Las Vegas (circa 1905). Mr. Clark Raised young Jerry Crowe and prepared him to become the founding father of Standard Wholesale Supply Company.
This limited edition, hand colored etching "An Early Las Vegas Christmas" was created by Roy Purcell expressly for Gary Crowe.
The etched plate is canceled upon completion of the edition.
