As an expert in American history, it is important to note James Monroe's impressive accomplishments prior to his presidency. Among them are his service in the Revolutionary War, his advocacy for the Bill of Rights, and his involvement in negotiating the Louisiana Purchase. During his two terms as the 5th President of the United States from 1817 to 1825, he is best remembered for his contributions to the Monroe Doctrine and the Missouri Compromise.
I do not know if these coins were ever circulated or not and they have not been graded. Each Coin Sold Separately.

Positions:
- Position A -The edge lettering is upside down when the coin's portrait is facing up. The coin is positioned at the bottom.
- Position B -The edge lettering reads normally when the coin's portrait is facing up. The coin is positioned at the top.
- Date and mint mark are located on the edge inscription of the coin along with the mottoes “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM”
