The United States Teddy Roosevelt / Bald Eagle Commemorative Bronze Medal coin makes a great collectible numismatic gift for you and/or someone you know. In 2003 The Bald Eagle medal debuted. It was the first of four designs celebrating the 100th anniversary of the National Wildlife Refuge System. The obverse for all 4 designs is a portrait of Roosevelt, considered the father of the National Wildlife Refuge System and the reverses depicted the bald eagle, an elk, salmon and canvasback ducks.
The coin was kept in a plastic pocket but was not kept from the exposure to the air which then the coin has tuned and lost most of its luster. This coin originally belonged to a coin collector who stored it in our safe for years. Eventually we acquired his collection in the condition he left it and other than sealing it in plastic it is sold as he left it.

Features of the Coin:
- Condition: Extremely Fine - primarily because the Mint luster is now gone from the large exposed areas
- Obverse: Full figure of Theodore Roosevelt standing on high ground - An inscription above reads “National Wildlife Refuge System” with additional inscriptions to the right reading “Celebrating a Century of Conservation 1903-2003” and “Theodore Roosevelt”
- Reverse: Depicts a bald eagle in flight with a treetop background, and the inscription “BALD EAGLE” at the top right, an elk, salmon and canvasback ducks
- Size: 38.1 mm or 1.5"Diameter
