Newspapers were never made to last, so any that have lasted this long are amazing. This newspaper we have had in our store for over 40 years. We have had them on display in a cabinet. What a fantastic find - a WWII newspaper that you can read as it unfolded. To the best of our knowledge an authentic newspaper - the person who gave it to us told us he had it for many years and we trust him. A fantastic piece of history in your hands.  Great for display

Features of the Paper:

  • Condition: Damaged edges due to age,  damage from being folded for many years - the edges and center fold are all brittle - all very readable but handle with extreme care - needs to be in airtight storage - some toning throughout - NO text loss
  • Lead Story: Navy's Story of Solomons Japs on Six Islands Wiped Out
  • 16 pages of main paper + Rotoghavure Section
