Interested in WWI history well then this is a good find. This exceptional WWI 1918 Verdun Art Nouveau Trench Art was carefully crafted on a Artillery Shell stamped March 1915 RhMF189 Dusseldorf. The Battle of Verdun was fought from 21 February to 18 December 1916. It was the largest and longest battle of the First World War on the Western Front between the German and French armies. The battle took place on the hills north of Verdun-sur-Meuse in north-eastern France. This has been in our store for over 20 years and stored in a display cabinet. It is a beautiful piece of art and equally beautiful piece of history.
