This top-quality bayonet is frequently associated with a defense contract alongside M16 rifles and has been in storage for 30 years. The M7 bayonet has been utilized by the U.S. military since 1964 and is compatible with various weapons such as the M16, M4, and other assault rifles and shotguns. Similar to the M4, its design features a two-lever locking mechanism and a large muzzle ring, making it a reliable combat tool since the Vietnam War. Derived from the M3 fighting knife from World War II, the M7 also serves as a versatile fighting knife and utility tool. It differs from the M6 bayonet used for the M14 rifle in terms of muzzle ring diameter and locking mechanism. The M7's release mechanism is on the pommel, while the M6 has a spring-loaded lever near the guard for releasing the bayonet. Both models have similar length and finish, and use the M8A1 Scabbard.
