17th Sustainment Brigade Combat Service Identification Badge

This badge signifies a U.S. soldier's individual combat service with a particular unit in the Army. It is approved for immediate use on the new dress blue Army Service Uniforms, dress green Class A, Army Service Uniform Class B, and transitioning (old) blue uniform. However, it is not authorized to be worn on the Army Combat Uniform or the Army Green Uniform. To denote combat service, soldiers must wear the Shoulder Sleeve Insignia/Former Wartime Service, which is a full-color unit patch, on their right sleeve of the ACU and Army Green Uniform. Male soldiers wear the CSIB centered on their right breast pocket, while female soldiers wear it on the right side, parallel to the waistline.
