This Vintage WWII Picture of (what I believe to be) 3 - B-17G FLYING FORTRESS planes is in OK shape. It does have some damage as shown in the pictures. It is 17" x 14". A fantastic piece of history.
Features of the Picture:
- Condition: OK does have some damage but I don't believe it really takes away from the photo
- I think the planes are B-17G Flying Fortress planes numbered 80 , 50 and 61

- Builder: Boeing
- Mission: Heavy bomber designed to carry out long-distance bombing attacks deep in the enemy’s rear area
- The B-17 and Consolidated B-24 Liberator heavy bombers were to fly in tight formations, concentrating their defensive weapons against attacking enemy aircraft
