(7802MOM-C)(UPS)(BLUE BIN #2)
LIMITED ITEM. PREVIOUSLY OWNED. Once they are gone we may not get any
The original 1943 WWII US M-1 Bayonet is in excellent condition and was developed by the Americans in response to their entry into the war in December 1941. The M1905 bayonet was renovated to accommodate the new Springfield and M1 Garand rifles, with the addition of plastic while maintaining its original characteristics. This updated model was designated as the M1942. In 1943, the M1905 bayonet was shortened by 4 inches and renamed the M1905E1, specifically designed for use with the Garand M1 rifle. Despite some initial reservations within the American armies, the M1942's longer blade proved to be very effective on the battlefields of the Pacific.
Features of the Bayonet:
- Condition: Very good for it's age and it has being a used bayonet
- Blade length: 9.75"
- Overall length including sheath: 16"
- Engraved on front of sheath: "US" with an ordinance symbol
- Engraved on the Bayonet: "U.C.", UY.OS. 1942" & a symbol on the other side
